Since its creation, DotRiver is engaged to a voluntary strategy of using free software, open source and open formats for the entire office environment that we need on a daily basis. 

On your Virtual Work Environments, you can use 100% of the free software that run on GNU / Linux. Those intended for productivity (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, images, Internet ...) as well as proprietary softwares and software available or not for Linux. You will find the list of software available and validated on our support.  site.

On the server side we deploy GNU / Linux environments (Debian base) and free and open software for printing (CUPS), security (PFsens, ect), Internet (squid, ect). The publishing engines used are also Free and Open.

DotRiver mainly uses FreeNX , OpenNX and X2go and TDE . All the downloads are available and documented on our support site.

DotRiver is an founder active member of the Ploss-ra association, which unites the Free Digital Companies in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes and actively participates in the Conseil National du Logiciel Libre (CNLL).
